Louis Philippe de Gagoue is a stylist, art-director and photographer from Abidjan. Known as a multi-talented storyteller infusing African flair with Global fashion.
De Gagoue graduated with a master in private law, yet traded the books for a creative adventure, starting with a personal style blog in 2010. Throughout the growth of his own online brand he started being recognized for his feeling of playfulness and authenticity and decided to move to Dubai to work as a stylist.
Louis’s interest in contemporary African art scene led to developing a photography style that can be described as vintage and eclectic, making unusual combinations of the past and the now to create new fashion futures. His art direction draws inspiration from landscapes, architecture and everyday life, challenging the perspectives and way people look at the world. Now being represented by creative agencies outside Africa, Louis Philippe de Gagoue continues exploring photography in Ivory Coast and beyond. His ability to combine storytelling, styling, art direction and photography has given him a prominent position within a global fashion scene, that is becoming more aware of Africa’s new fashion influence.
Accordingly, he created work for for a bunch of leading fashion publications ranging from Vogue and l’Officiel to ELLE magazine. He is also recognized through his authentic collaborations with EDUN.
